1. Greet and welcome patients with a warm and friendly attitude, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all patients.
2. Assist in the preparation of patient visits by reviewing medical history, obtaining vital signs and updating electronic medical records.
3. Educate patients on procedures and treatments, ensuring they are well-informed and comfortable with their care.
4. Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures, providing support and ensuring patient comfort.
5. Prepare and maintain exam rooms and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
6. Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits, coordinating with other departments and healthcare providers as needed.
7. Document patient information accurately and efficiently, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
8. Collaborate with other medical assistants and healthcare team members to provide seamless and efficient patient care.
9. Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, procedures and medications related to women's health.
