- Greet and welcome patients with a warm and friendly attitude, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all patients.
- Assist in the preparation of patient visits by reviewing medical history, obtaining vital signs and updating electronic medical records.
- Educate patients on procedures and treatments, ensuring they are well-informed and comfortable with their care.
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures, providing support and ensuring patient comfort.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits, coordinating with other departments and healthcare providers as needed.
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other medical assistants and healthcare team members to provide seamless and efficient patient care.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology, procedures and medications related to women's health.
- Continuously strive to improve patient satisfaction by actively seeking feedback and implementing necessary changes.
- Comply with all safety and infection control protocols, maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.

Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: A Medical Assistant At Baptist Health South Florida Must Have Completed A Formal Education Program From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Received Proper Training And Has A Strong Foundation In Medical Assisting Skills.
Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Certification: Baptist Health South Florida Prefers Candidates Who Are Certified Or Registered As Medical Assistants. This Certification Shows That The Candidate Has Met Certain National Standards And Has Demonstrated Knowledge And Skills In The Field.
Experience In Obstetrics And Gynecology (Obgyn) And Urogynecology: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have Prior Experience Working In An Obgyn Or Urogynecology Setting. This Experience Will Help The Medical Assistant Understand The Unique Needs Of These Patients And Provide Quality Care.
Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems: Baptist Health South Florida Uses Electronic Medical Records To Maintain Patient Information. A Qualified Medical Assistant Should Have Experience Using Emr Systems And Be Comfortable Navigating And Documenting In Them.
