Baptist Health South Florida is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Lead Security Officer for our Bethesda East location. As the Lead Security Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff. This is a full-time position with a 12-hour shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. - Oversee and lead the security team at Bethesda East location.
- Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
- Monitor and assess potential security risks and take necessary measures to prevent them.
- Train and supervise security personnel, ensuring they adhere to all protocols and procedures.
- Conduct regular security checks and inspections to identify and address any potential vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with other departments and staff to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Handle and resolve any security-related incidents or emergencies.
- Communicate effectively with management and staff regarding security updates and issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to security incidents and activities.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies and make recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor and maintain security equipment, such as surveillance cameras and alarms.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to security.
- Foster a culture of safety and security within the organization.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to security personnel.
- Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for security staff.
- Handle any administrative tasks related to the security department.
- Respond to and resolve any complaints or concerns related to security.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
Extensive Knowledge Of Security Protocols And Procedures: A Lead Security Officer Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Security Measures And Be Able To Implement And Enforce Them Effectively.
Prior Supervisory Experience: This Position Requires The Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Security Officers, Making Prior Supervisory Experience A Crucial Qualification.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Team Members, Hospital Staff, And Visitors Is Essential For A Lead Security Officer.
Strong Problem-Solving Skills: In Case Of Emergency Or Security Breaches, A Lead Security Officer Must Be Able To Think Quickly And Make Decisions To Ensure The Safety Of The Hospital And Its Occupants.
Experience In Healthcare Security: Familiarity With Security Protocols Specific To Healthcare Facilities Is Highly Desirable For This Role, As It Requires A Unique Understanding Of The Challenges And Risks In A Hospital Setting.
