Job Description

Baptist Health South Florida is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Lead Security Officer for our Bethesda East location. As the Lead Security Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff. This is a full-time position with a 12-hour shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of security and safety.   1. Oversee and lead the security team at Bethesda East location.
  2. Develop and implement security protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
  3. Monitor and assess potential security risks and take necessary measures to prevent them.
  4. Train and supervise security personnel, ensuring they adhere to all protocols and procedures.
  5. Conduct regular security checks and inspections to identify and address any potential vulnerabilities.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and staff to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  7. Handle and resolve any security-related incidents or emergencies.
  8. Communicate effectively with management and staff regarding security updates and issues.
  9. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to security incidents and activities.
  10. Keep up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies and make recommendations for improvement.
  11. Monitor and maintain security equipment, such as surveillance cameras and alarms.
  12. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to security.
  13. Foster a culture of safety and security within the organization.
  14. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to security personnel.
  15. Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for security staff.
  16. Handle any administrative tasks related to the security department.
  17. Respond to and resolve any complaints or concerns related to security.
  18. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
