- Assist physicians in performing interventional cardiovascular procedures.
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, equipment, and supplies for procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any changes or complications.
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging and monitoring equipment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of procedures and patient information.
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-procedure care.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements and changes in interventional cardiovascular technology.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Assist with training and mentoring new staff members.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any malfunctions.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

Accredited Education And Training: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Cardiovascular Technology Or Related Field From An Accredited Program Is Required. Certification From The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt) Or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Cci) Is Also Preferred.
Clinical Experience: At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Cardiovascular Laboratory Setting Is Required. This Should Include Experience In Performing Diagnostic And Interventional Procedures, As Well As Knowledge Of Equipment And Technology Used In The Field.
Knowledge Of Cardiac Procedures And Equipment: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Various Cardiac Procedures Such As Cardiac Catheterization, Angioplasty, And Stent Placement. They Should Also Be Familiar With The Use And Maintenance Of Equipment Such As X-Ray Machines, Fluoroscopes, And Ultrasound Machines.
Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills: Interventional Cardiovascular Technologists Must Be Able To Think Critically And Make Quick Decisions In Emergency Situations. They Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise During A Procedure.
Communication And Teamwork: Excellent Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role, As Interventional Cardiovascular Technologists Work Closely With A Multidisciplinary Team Of Healthcare Professionals. They Should Also Be Able To Work Well In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment, While Maintaining A Positive Attitude And Collaborating Effectively With Others.
