
Float Patient Access Associate BOS

- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to Baptist Health South Florida, creating a positive and friendly atmosphere.
- Assist patients with the admission process, including registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Baptist Health's services, policies, and procedures in order to accurately answer patient questions and provide necessary information.
- Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare staff, ensuring effective communication and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during the admission process.
- Utilize computer systems to accurately and efficiently input patient information and process admissions.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
- Monitor and track patient flow to ensure a smooth and timely admission process.
- Keep up-to-date with insurance regulations and policies to ensure proper handling of patient insurance information.
- Collaborate with other healthcare staff to ensure a high level of patient satisfaction and quality of care.
- Demonstrate a customer service-oriented approach in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Flexibly adapt to changing environments and prioritize tasks to meet the needs of the department and patients.
- Attend training and education sessions to stay current on best practices and updates to policies and procedures.
- Communicate any issues or concerns to management in a timely and professional manner.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: The First Qualification For A Float Patient Access Associate Bos Job At Baptist Health South Florida Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Is The Minimum Educational Requirement For This Position And Ensures That Candidates Have A Basic Understanding Of Math, English, And Computer Skills.
Previous Experience In Healthcare: Candidates For This Position Should Have Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Patient Access Or Registration. This Experience Will Give Them A Good Understanding Of The Medical Terminology And Processes Involved In Admitting Patients.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Float Patient Access Associate Bos Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Interact With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. They Must Be Able To Communicate Effectively And Empathetically To Provide A Positive Patient Experience.
Knowledge Of Insurance And Billing Procedures: Strong Knowledge Of Insurance And Billing Procedures Is Essential For This Position. Candidates Must Be Familiar With Different Insurance Plans, Verification Processes, And Billing Codes To Ensure Accurate And Timely Reimbursement.
Ability To Multitask And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: A Float Patient Access Associate Bos Must Be Able To Multitask And Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment.
