- Assist in performing endoscopy procedures, including preparing equipment and supplies, positioning patients, and monitoring vital signs.
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the endoscopy suite, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring proper handling and disposal of equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide excellent patient care, including communicating effectively with physicians, nurses, and other team members.
- Utilize specialized knowledge and skills in endoscopy procedures to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, changes in condition, and any adverse reactions during and after procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, reporting any malfunctions or necessary repairs to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures, including maintaining patient confidentiality and following safety protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on advancements and best practices in endoscopy procedures.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all procedures, including patient records and supply usage.
- Exhibit a commitment to providing compassionate care, treating all patients with respect and dignity.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience As An Endoscopy Technician In A Hospital Or Outpatient Setting.
Completion Of An Accredited Endoscopy Technician Program Or Equivalent Training.
Current Certification As A Certified Endoscopy Technician (Cet) Through The International Association Of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (Iahcsmm) Or The Certification Board For Sterile Processing And Distribution (Cbspd).
Proficient In Performing Diagnostic And Therapeutic Procedures In Endoscopy, Including But Not Limited To Colonoscopies, Gastroscopies, And Bronchoscopies.
Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced Environment.
