ED Tech, Emergency Department

1. Provide critical support to healthcare professionals in the Emergency Department (ED) by assisting with patient care procedures, vital sign monitoring, and other tasks as needed.
2. Maintain a safe and clean environment in the ED, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and stocked for use.
3. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide a positive and comfortable experience for all.
4. Assist with transporting patients to and from the ED, including ambulating, transferring, and positioning patients as needed.
5. Perform basic nursing skills under the direction of a registered nurse, such as collecting specimens, performing EKGs, and administering basic medications.
6. Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
7. Anticipate and respond to the needs of patients and healthcare team members in a timely and efficient manner.
8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to minimize risks and promote a safe environment for patients and staff.
9. Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge related to emergency medicine.
10. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times.
11. Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions.
12. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
