- Perform echocardiography exams on patients of all ages, providing accurate and high-quality imaging results.
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure consistent and reliable diagnostic images.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all equipment and technology used in echocardiography, staying current on advancements and updates.
- Record patient medical history and communicate with the healthcare team to ensure proper patient care.
- Prepare and position patients for exams, explaining the procedure and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized and in good working condition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and take appropriate precautions to protect patients and staff from potential hazards.
- Keep accurate records of procedures performed, patient information, and any other necessary documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret imaging results, providing timely and accurate reports.
- Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to stay current on industry developments and advancements.

Education And Certification: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Diagnostic Medical Sonography Or A Related Field Is Required. Candidates Must Also Hold Current Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (Rdcs) Through The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) Or The Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Cci).
Experience: Candidates Must Have A Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience In Performing Echocardiograms In A Clinical Setting. Experience With Advanced Imaging Techniques, Such As Stress Echocardiography And Transesophageal Echocardiography, Is Preferred.
Knowledge Of Equipment And Software: Candidates Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Echocardiography Equipment And Software, As Well As The Ability To Troubleshoot Technical Issues. Familiarity With Philips And Ge Equipment Is A Plus.
Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For This Role. Candidates Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Attention To Detail: The Ability To Pay Close Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Performing Echocardiograms. Candidates Must Be Able To Accurately Identify And Document Abnormalities In Cardiac Structures And Function. Additionally, Attention To Detail Is Important When Recording Patient Information And Maintaining Records.
