  1. Develop and implement innovative simulation and instructional resources for healthcare professionals.
  2. Collaborate with various departments and leaders to design effective educational resources that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
  3. Lead a team of simulation and instructional design specialists to ensure the delivery of high-quality training programs.
  4. Continuously assess and evaluate the effectiveness of simulation and instructional resources and make necessary improvements.
  5. Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in healthcare education, simulation, and instructional design.
  6. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify and address training needs and gaps.
  7. Develop and manage the budget for simulation and instructional resources.
  8. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements related to simulation and instructional resources.
  9. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to healthcare professionals in utilizing simulation and instructional resources.
  11. Evaluate and select appropriate simulation and instructional technology and equipment.
  12. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and serve as a liaison between different departments and teams.
  13. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors for simulation and instructional resources.
  14. Represent the organization in conferences, workshops, and other professional development events related to healthcare education and simulation.
  15. Mentor and coach team members to promote their professional growth and development.
  16. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  17. Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
  18. Collaborate with other healthcare organizations to share best practices and promote the advancement of simulation and instructional resources in the industry.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Education Or Instructional Design: A Director Of Simulation & Instructional Resources At Baptist Health South Florida Should Possess An Advanced Degree In Education Or Instructional Design. This Qualification Demonstrates A Deep Understanding Of Instructional Methodologies And A Strong Foundation In Educational Theory.

  • Experience In Healthcare Simulation: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have Several Years Of Experience Working In Healthcare Simulation. This Includes Experience Designing, Implementing, And Evaluating Simulation-Based Learning Activities For Healthcare Professionals.

  • Knowledge Of Instructional Technology: In Addition To A Strong Understanding Of Instructional Design Principles, The Director Should Also Have A Deep Knowledge Of Instructional Technology And Its Applications In Healthcare Education. This Includes Experience With Simulation Software, Virtual Reality, And Other Emerging Technologies.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As A Director, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Instructional Designers And Simulation Technicians. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Management Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role. This Includes The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Guidance And Support, And Make Strategic Decisions.

  • Communication And Collaboration Skills: The Director Will Be Responsible For Collaborating With Various Stakeholders, Including Faculty, Healthcare Professionals, And Technology Vendors. Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Communicate Ideas, Manage Relationships, And Drive Projects Forward.
