- Lead and manage a team of dining services staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain menus that meet dietary and nutritional needs of patients and adhere to facility guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and supplies, and place orders as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to accommodate specific dietary restrictions and nutrition plans.
- Oversee the preparation, presentation, and delivery of meals to patients, ensuring high quality and timely service.
- Manage budget and expenses related to dining services, making cost-effective decisions.
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with patients, their families, and other healthcare staff.
- Continuously evaluate and improve dining services processes and procedures to enhance the patient experience.
- Communicate effectively with team members, superiors, and other departments to ensure smooth operation of dining services.
- Handle and resolve any customer complaints or concerns related to dining services.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in nutrition and dining services, and implement new ideas and practices.
- Uphold and promote the values and mission of Baptist Health South Florida in all job duties.
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment for staff and patients.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Dining Services Or Food Service Industry.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Food Service Management, Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Food Safety Regulations And Dietary Restrictions.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Lead A Team And Interact With Patients And Staff.
Ability To Work Flexible Hours, Including Weekends And Holidays, To Ensure Smooth Operation Of Dining Services.
