  3. Maintain a thorough understanding of medical billing and coding guidelines, as well as insurance policies and procedures.
  4. Collaborate with various departments, including revenue cycle, coding, and clinical teams, to gather necessary information and documentation for appeals.
  5. Communicate effectively and professionally with insurance companies to negotiate and resolve denied claims.
  6. Keep accurate and detailed records of all appeals and their outcomes for future reference.
  7. Analyze denial data and provide recommendations for process improvements to reduce denials.
  8. Stay updated on industry changes and regulations related to healthcare billing and appeals.
  9. Advocate for patients and their financial wellbeing by ensuring fair and accurate billing practices.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to patients and internal stakeholders by promptly addressing billing concerns and inquiries.
  11. Train and educate other team members on appeal processes and best practices.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times.
  13. Participate in meetings and committees to discuss and implement strategies for reducing denials and improving overall billing processes.
  14. Meet performance metrics and goals set by the organization.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings and promoting teamwork.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Business, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Denial And Appeals Role.

  • Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations, Reimbursement Systems, And Insurance Policies.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Insurance Companies, And Healthcare Providers.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Coding, And Billing Processes.
