- Provide clinical support to healthcare providers by assisting with patient care procedures and tasks.
- Utilize EMT/Paramedic training to assist in emergency situations and provide basic life support.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients by following infection control protocols and performing regular equipment checks.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to healthcare providers.
- Prepare and restock patient rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing empathy and support.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Assist with transporting patients to and from different areas of the hospital as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by healthcare providers or supervisors.
Valid Emt Or Paramedic Certification: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid And Current Certification As An Emt Or Paramedic, Issued By A Recognized Certifying Agency.
Prior Experience In An Emergency Medical Setting: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As An Emt Or Paramedic In An Emergency Medical Setting, Such As An Ambulance Service, Hospital, Or Urgent Care Facility.
Knowledge Of Emergency Medical Procedures And Equipment: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Emergency Medical Procedures, Including Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Life Support (Als) Techniques, As Well As A Working Knowledge Of Emergency Medical Equipment.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment: The Job Of A Clinical Support Tech At Baptist Health South Florida Requires The Ability To Work Quickly And Efficiently In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment. Candidates Should Be Able To Remain Calm And Focused In Emergency Situations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Candidate Must Possess Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes The Ability To Provide Clear And Concise Instructions And Updates To The Healthcare Team During Emergency Situations.
