- Develop and implement educational programs and trainings for nursing staff, focusing on clinical skills and best practices.
- Create and maintain educational materials, resources, and presentations for nursing staff.
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify areas for improvement and design educational initiatives to address those needs.
- Mentor and coach nursing staff on clinical skills, patient care, and professional development.
- Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
- Stay current on industry trends, standards, and regulations related to nursing education.
- Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Coordinate and facilitate continuing education opportunities for nursing staff to maintain licensure and certifications.
- Work closely with new hires to provide orientation and onboarding training.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute nursing education perspective and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and deliver interdisciplinary education programs.
- Communicate regularly with nursing staff to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement in the educational programs.
- Act as a role model and exemplify professional nursing standards and ethical principles.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all educational activities and provide reports as needed.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing: The Clinical Registered Nurse Educator Should Possess A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Knowledge And Skills.
Active Rn License: The Candidate Should Hold A Valid And Active Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Florida. This Is A Mandatory Requirement To Practice As A Nurse In The State And Ensures That The Candidate Is Well-Versed With State-Specific Laws And Regulations.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Nursing Experience: The Clinical Registered Nurse Educator Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience Working As A Clinical Nurse. This Experience Provides The Candidate With A Thorough Understanding Of The Day-To-Day Responsibilities And Challenges Of A Nurse, Making Them Better Equipped To Educate And Train Other Nurses.
Teaching Or Education Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Teaching Or Education, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting. This Could Include Experience As A Nurse Educator, Preceptor, Or Clinical Instructor. This Experience Showcases The Candidate's Ability To Effectively Educate And Train Others.
