Charge Auditor, Surgical Administration

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and audit all charges generated in the Surgical Administration Department.
2. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of billing and coding processes.
3. Develop and implement systems to ensure charges are compliant with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
4. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including follow-up with payers on outstanding payments.
5. Monitor and analyze billing trends and take corrective action when necessary.
6. Prepare monthly and annual reports for the Surgical Administration Department.
7. Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner.
8. Participate in meetings and committees related to charge auditing.
9. Provide training and education to staff related to charge auditing.
10. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
