You must also possess a current Athletic Training certification from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and be licensed by the state of Florida. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, and exercise physiology. 1. Provide exceptional orthopedic care to patients through assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries.
2. Work closely with other healthcare professionals such as physicians, physical therapists, and coaches to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
3. Conduct evaluations and screenings to identify potential risks for injuries and develop preventative strategies.
4. Educate patients on injury prevention techniques, proper body mechanics, and exercises to improve athletic performance.
5. Administer first aid and emergency care when necessary.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
7. Collaborate with other Athletic Trainers to develop and implement evidence-based protocols and procedures.
8. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in orthopedic care through continued education and training.
9. Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
10. Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as the policies and procedures of Baptist Health South Florida.
11. Maintain a positive and professional attitude and serve as a role model for patients and colleagues.
12. Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote overall health and wellness.
13. Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
14. Act as a mentor and resource for other Athletic Trainers and students.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or department head.
