- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly sterilized.
- Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures, anticipating their needs and providing necessary instruments and supplies in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient operation, following established protocols and maintaining strict adherence to infection control measures.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with positioning and draping for surgery.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of surgical procedures, including counts of all instruments and supplies used.
- Participate in the care and transport of patients to and from the operating room, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals, providing updates on patient status and any concerns that may arise during surgery.
- Keep abreast of current practices and advancements in surgical technology, attending continuing education and training programs as required.
- Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families, demonstrating empathy and compassion throughout their surgical experience.
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of surgical equipment, reporting any malfunctions or defects to the appropriate personnel.

Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Surgical Technologist In An Operating Room Setting.
Knowledge Of Surgical Instruments, Equipment, And Procedures Used In Various Surgical Specialties.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment While Maintaining Attention To Detail And Adhering To Strict Safety Protocols.
