  1. Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures.
  2. Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment for procedures.
  3. Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
  4. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide necessary instruments and supplies.
  5. Handle and properly dispose of surgical instruments and supplies.
  6. Prepare and position patients for surgery.
  7. Monitor patient vital signs during procedures.
  8. Document and maintain accurate records of procedures.
  9. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective procedures.
  10. Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training.
  11. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures.
  12. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing reassurance and support.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA guidelines.
  14. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement.
  15. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
  16. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  17. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  18. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
  19. Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the appropriate personnel.
  20. Participate in on-call schedule as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).

  • Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technology Program.

  • At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Surgical Technologist In An Acute Care Hospital Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures, Instrumentation, And Equipment.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment.
