  1. Assisting surgeons and other healthcare professionals in the operating room during surgical procedures.
  2. Maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room by following strict infection control protocols.
  3. Preparing equipment and supplies needed for surgeries.
  4. Anticipating the needs of the surgical team and ensuring all necessary items are readily available.
  5. Monitoring and documenting patient vital signs and other important information during surgery.
  6. Handling and disposing of surgical instruments and supplies in a safe and efficient manner.
  7. Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure the safety and well-being of patients before, during, and after surgery.
  8. Utilizing excellent technical skills to assist with surgical procedures and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  9. Participating in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including dressing changes and wound care.
  10. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of procedures, supplies used, and patient information.
  11. Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  12. Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  13. Participating in ongoing education and training to stay current on advancements in surgical technology and techniques.
  14. Demonstrating a commitment to quality patient care and safety at all times.
  15. Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to provide a positive and supportive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Surgical Technologist In An Operating Room Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Equipment And Instruments, Including Proper Handling, Care, And Sterilization Techniques.

  • Familiarity With Surgical Procedures And Techniques, Including Aseptic Techniques And Surgical Site Preparation.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment, While Maintaining Attention To Detail And Following Strict Safety Protocols.
