Baptist Health (Kentucky) is looking for an experienced and compassionate Surgical Nursing Assistant to join our team! We are dedicated to providing world-class care to our patients, so we need a professional who will be able to provide exceptional patient service while also offering expertise in the surgical setting.The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of one year of experience working in a surgical setting and be familiar with the duties and responsibilities of a Surgical Nursing Assistant. They will also possess a positive and patient-focused attitude, excellent communication skills, and an ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Additionally, they must be comfortable working independently in the operating room and demonstrate a commitment to providing quality care and service.We are looking for someone who is passionate about the work they do and dedicated to providing the highest level of patient care. Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with patient preparation and transport before, during and after surgery.
  2. Ensure necessary materials are available for surgical procedures.
  3. Provide general nursing care to patients in the surgical setting.
  4. Monitor vital signs and record patient information.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
  6. Assist with wound management and dressing changes.
  7. Provide emotional support to patients and their family members.
  8. Maintain a clean and safe environment in the operating room.
  9. Follow all safety protocols and hospital policies.
  10. Communicate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
