- Oversee the daily operations of the food service department, including meal preparation, service, and cleanup.
- Ensure that all meals are prepared and served in a timely and efficient manner, meeting the highest quality standards.
- Manage and train a team of food service employees, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent performance and customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for food and supplies as needed to maintain efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and staff to ensure smooth and coordinated operations.
- Collaborate with nutritionists and dietitians to develop menus that meet the dietary and nutritional needs of patients, employees, and visitors.

- Handle and resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and make recommendations for improvements to enhance the food service experience.
- Monitor and track department budgets and expenses, ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising on quality.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable food safety and sanitation regulations, and ensure that all employees follow proper food handling and storage procedures.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among staff.
- Represent the food service department in meetings and committees, providing updates, insights, and recommendations to improve operations.
- Stay informed about the latest healthcare industry developments and trends, and implement relevant changes to improve the food service department's performance.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Supervisory Experience In The Food Service Industry, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Food Safety Regulations And Best Practices, Including Servsafe Certification.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead And Motivate A Team.
Understanding Of Budget Management And Cost Control Principles, With Experience In Inventory Management And Ordering.
Flexibility To Work Varying Shifts, Including Weekends And Holidays, And The Ability To Handle High-Stress Situations With Professionalism And Grace.
