Job Description

At Baptist Health (Kentucky), we are looking for an energetic and dedicated Student Nursing Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a passion for providing compassionate care to patients and be committed to delivering excellent service. We are seeking a person who has the required qualifications and is eager to learn and grow within the health care profession.Our Student Nursing Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing basic patient care, obtaining vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, and providing emotional support to patients. As a valued member of our team, you will also assist with the documentation of patient care services and provide efficient clerical and administrative support.We are looking for a candidate who has a working knowledge of medical terminology and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must also be certified in CPR and First Aid, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be enrolled in an accredited nursing program.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide basic patient care, including obtaining vital signs and assisting with daily living activities.
  2. Provide emotional support to patients.
  3. Document patient care services and provide efficient clerical and administrative support.
  4. Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  5. Possess a working knowledge of medical terminology and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  7. Be enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
  8. Be certified in CPR and First Aid.
