Job Description

Baptist Health is currently searching for an experienced and passionate Staff Pharmacist to join our outstanding team. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in a hospital setting, be a licensed Pharmacist in Kentucky, and have a strong commitment to patient safety. Responsibilities:

  1. Dispense medication and provide information to patients and healthcare professionals in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  2. Monitor patient drug therapies for safety, efficacy, and cost effectiveness.
  3. Review and interpret physicians’ orders for accuracy and completeness.
  4. Compound and dispense medications according to specific instructions.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed.
  6. Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
  7. Monitor drug therapy regimens to ensure optimal therapeutic results.
  8. Identify, resolve, and report medication-related issues to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  9. Assist with the ordering and stocking of medications.
  10. Participate in Quality Assurance and Continuous Quality Improvement programs.
