Job Description

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated Staff Clinical Pharmacist to join Baptist Health (Kentucky). As a Staff Clinical Pharmacist at Baptist Health, you will provide comprehensive medication-related services to patients and other healthcare providers. You will be responsible for interpreting and evaluating prescriptions, providing medication information, and managing medication therapy for patients.To be successful in this role, you must hold a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college or university and be licensed as a pharmacist in the state of Kentucky. Additionally, you must have a minimum of two years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting. Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret and evaluate prescriptions for accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  2. Provide medication information to patients and other healthcare providers.
  3. Manage medication therapy for patients, including monitoring, dosing, and adverse effects.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  5. Maintain records of patient medication therapies and other related data.
  6. Remain up-to-date on current clinical developments and best practices in pharmacy.
  7. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding the practice of pharmacy.
  8. Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and quality of care.
  9. Educate patients and other healthcare providers on the safe and effective use of medications.
  10. Utilize third-party payers and their reimbursement policies to optimize patient care.
