  1. Oversee the daily operations of the specialty pharmacy team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of orders and exceptional customer service.
  2. Provide leadership and mentorship to the specialty pharmacy team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  3. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to specialty pharmacy operations.
  4. Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of care.
  5. Monitor inventory levels and work with vendors to maintain adequate stock of specialty medications.
  6. Train and educate team members on new medications, procedures, and protocols.
  7. Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of all orders.
  8. Collaborate with other departments, such as billing and insurance, to ensure timely and accurate processing of specialty pharmacy services.
  9. Use knowledge of specialty medications to provide guidance and support to team members and healthcare providers.
  10. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and trends in specialty pharmacy to ensure the team is providing the highest level of care.
  11. Evaluate team performance and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to ensure continuous improvement.
  12. Maintain a thorough understanding of insurance plans and assist in resolving any issues related to coverage and reimbursement.
  13. Handle and resolve patient complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  14. Assist with the recruitment, hiring, and training of new specialty pharmacy team members.
  15. Collaborate with the pharmacy manager to develop and implement strategies for achieving departmental goals and objectives.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) Licensure In The State Of Kentucky, With A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Specialty Pharmacy Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Specialty Medications, Including Biologics And Specialty Drug Management Programs.

  • Prior Experience In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role, With Demonstrated Ability To Train And Mentor Pharmacy Technicians.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals And Maintain Positive Relationships With Patients.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Health Record Systems And Proficiency In Pharmacy Software, Including Prescription Processing And Inventory Management.
