  1. Perform ultrasound examinations on expectant mothers to assess the development and health of their baby.

  3. Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns or questions.
  4. Work closely with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret and analyze ultrasound images.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documenting all procedures and findings.
  6. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  7. Stay up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.
  8. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for expectant mothers and their babies.
  9. Provide compassionate and empathetic care to patients, recognizing the emotional and physical challenges of pregnancy.
  10. Educate patients on proper prep and aftercare instructions for ultrasound procedures.
  11. Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  12. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  13. Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude while representing Baptist Health to patients and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Sonographer: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Valid Certification In Sonography From A Recognized Institution. This Demonstrates Proficiency And Expertise In Performing Various Ultrasound Procedures For Maternal Fetal Medicine.

  • Experience In Maternal Fetal Medicine: Candidates With Prior Experience In A Maternal Fetal Medicine Setting Will Be Preferred. This Includes Experience In Conducting Ultrasounds For High-Risk Pregnancies, Fetal Anomalies, And Other Complex Maternal Conditions.

  • Knowledge Of Ultrasound Equipment And Techniques: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Ultrasound Equipment And Techniques Used In Maternal Fetal Medicine. This Includes Knowledge Of 3D/4D Ultrasounds, Doppler Imaging, And Other Specialized Tools.

  • Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills: Sonographers In Maternal Fetal Medicine Work Closely With Expectant Mothers And Their Families. Therefore, Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building A Rapport And Providing Emotional Support.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: As A Sonographer, Attention To Detail And Accuracy Are Crucial In Identifying And Diagnosing Fetal Abnormalities And Maternal Conditions. The Ideal Candidate Should Possess These Qualities To Ensure Accurate And Reliable Results For Patient Care.
