1. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families in the retail pharmacy setting.
2. Accurately and efficiently fill prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
3. Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering and restocking medications and supplies.
4. Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure proper billing and reimbursement.
5. Handle cash and credit transactions for prescription sales.
6. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
8. Assist with medication therapy management and medication reconciliation for patients.
9. Adhere to all state and federal regulations regarding the storage, handling, and dispensing of medications.
10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.
11. Educate patients on proper medication usage and potential side effects.
12. Continuously update knowledge of medications and healthcare laws and regulations through ongoing education and training.
13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist with data collection and reporting.
14. Demonstrate a strong sense of compassion and empathy towards patients and their families.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the pharmacy manager or licensed pharmacist.
