
Respiratory Therapist
Baptist Health (Kentucky) is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide care to patients who suffer from respiratory issues such as asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema, among other conditions. You will work in tandem with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide the highest level of care and comfort to patients in a variety of settings.We are looking for someone who has a strong foundation in the principles and practice of respiratory therapy, and who is committed to providing excellent care. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field (BS degree preferred), as well as at least two years of experience in a hospital or clinical environment. Current licensure in Kentucky and certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is also required.If you are an experienced and passionate Respiratory Therapist who wants to make a difference in the lives of our patients, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' respiratory condition and determine an appropriate course of treatment.
- Administer oxygen and other therapeutic treatments to patients.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust treatment according to their needs.
- Educate patients and family members on respiratory health and safety.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate records and notes of patient progress.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in respiratory therapy.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards and safety protocols.
- Participate in professional development activities to stay up to date with the latest techniques and technologies.
