  1. Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the Neuro Spine unit at Baptist Health.
  2. Utilize specialized knowledge and skills in neurology and spinal care to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  4. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by physicians.
  5. Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and treatment responses.
  6. Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  7. Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
  8. Adhere to established nursing standards, policies, and procedures.
  9. Maintain accurate and complete patient records.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  11. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain patient safety standards.
  12. Act as a patient advocate and ensure patients' rights and preferences are respected.
  13. Keep up-to-date with advancements in neurology and spinal care through professional development and continuing education.
  14. Demonstrate commitment to Baptist Health's mission, vision, and values.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical principles in all aspects of patient care.
  16. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless and coordinated care for patients.
  17. Handle and resolve patient concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  18. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  19. Serve as a mentor and resource for new nurses and nursing students.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager or other supervisory personnel.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Program

  • Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Kentucky

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Neuro Spine Nursing Or Related Field

  • Certification In Neuroscience Nursing (Cnrn) Preferred

  • Bls And Acls Certification From The American Heart Association
