
Registered Dietitian PRN- Outpatient Nutrition Counseling

- Conduct individual nutrition assessments for patients and develop personalized nutrition plans based on their specific needs and goals.
- Provide one-on-one nutrition counseling sessions to patients, offering education and guidance on healthy eating habits, meal planning, and disease management.
- Monitor and track patients' progress towards their nutrition goals, making necessary adjustments to their plans as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest nutrition research and guidelines, incorporating this knowledge into patient care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and other relevant documentation.
- Educate patients on the importance of nutrition in preventing and managing various health conditions.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to share knowledge and stay current on departmental policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, providing compassionate care and addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for services provided.
- Assist with community outreach and education initiatives related to nutrition and healthy eating habits.
- Serve as a resource for other healthcare professionals and staff members on nutrition-related issues.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of nutrition counseling services, implementing new strategies and techniques as needed.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude, representing the mission and values of Baptist Health at all times.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field From An Accredited University.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (Rdn) Certification Through The Commission On Dietetic Registration (Cdr).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Outpatient Nutrition Counseling, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Nutrition Principles And Ability To Apply Them To Individualized Patient Care.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Educate And Counsel Patients From Diverse Backgrounds And With Varying Nutritional Needs.
