  1. Review and analyze medical records to identify any deficiencies or inaccuracies in documentation.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to resolve any identified deficiencies.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all identified deficiencies and their resolution.
  4. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements related to medical record documentation.
  5. Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve the accuracy and completeness of medical records.
  6. Train and educate healthcare providers and staff on best practices for documentation and record keeping.
  7. Communicate with external parties, such as insurance companies or auditors, to provide necessary documentation and respond to inquiries.
  8. Utilize electronic health record systems to track and monitor record deficiencies.
  9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance overall record keeping practices.
  10. Adhere to strict confidentiality and security protocols when handling sensitive patient information.
  11. Serve as a resource and point of contact for record deficiency inquiries and issues.
  12. Collaborate with other departments and teams within the organization to ensure seamless record keeping processes.
  13. Keep abreast of industry trends and updates related to medical record documentation and regulations.
  14. Maintain a high level of professionalism and accuracy in all aspects of the job.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings and sharing ideas for improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.

  • Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (Cdip) Or Registered Health Information Technician (Rhit) Preferred.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Medical Records Or Health Information Management.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Health Information Management.

  • Strong Computer Skills And Proficiency In Electronic Medical Record Systems.
