  1. Review and analyze medical records to identify any deficiencies or inaccuracies.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain missing or incomplete information.
  3. Utilize electronic health record systems to track and manage deficiencies.
  4. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records.
  5. Identify patterns and trends in record deficiencies and make recommendations for improvement.
  6. Communicate with physicians and other healthcare staff to address and resolve any discrepancies in records.
  7. Maintain confidentiality and security of patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  8. Train and educate staff on proper recordkeeping procedures and requirements.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices related to medical record documentation.
  10. Provide support and assistance to other departments as needed in matters related to record deficiencies.
  11. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of recordkeeping.
  12. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all record review and analysis tasks.
  13. Ensure timely completion of record deficiency resolutions to support patient care and billing processes.
  14. Adhere to departmental policies and procedures and maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  15. Represent Baptist Health in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Or Bachelor's Degree In Health Information Management Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Medical Record Coding Or Analysis.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Medical Record Documentation And Compliance.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Attention To Detail.

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team In A Fast-Paced, Deadline-Driven Environment.
