Job Description

  1. Provide exceptional and compassionate care to patients with cancer in the outpatient oncology department.
  2. Utilize evidence-based practices and procedures to ensure the highest quality of care.
  3. Administer chemotherapy treatments and monitor patients for any adverse reactions.
  4. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to coordinate and provide comprehensive care.
  6. Educate patients and their families about cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and self-care measures.
  7. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  8. Monitor and document patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the physician.
  9. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  10. Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  11. Participate in staff development and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
  12. Act as a patient advocate and ensure their needs and preferences are met.
  13. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  14. Assist with procedures and treatments as needed.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities to improve patient care and outcomes.

Job Qualifications
  • Bls And Acls Certifications

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Oncology Nursing

  • Active Rn License In The State Of Kentucky

  • Proficient In Administering Chemotherapy And Managing Side Effects

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Provide Compassionate Care To Patients And Their Families.
