PRN Community/Retail Pharmacy Technician

1. Assist in the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients.
2. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and other healthcare professionals.
3. Ensure accuracy in filling and labeling prescriptions.
4. Maintain inventory and stock levels of medications.
5. Follow all pharmacy policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
6. Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
7. Process insurance claims and assist with prior authorizations.
8. Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
9. Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
10. Stay current on pharmacy industry trends and updates.
11. Train and mentor new pharmacy technicians as needed.
12. Adhere to all state and federal regulations related to pharmacy operations.
13. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
14. Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals.
15. Demonstrate a positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
16. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain required certifications.
17. Attend team meetings and contribute ideas to improve pharmacy processes and patient care.
18. Perform other duties as assigned by pharmacy management.
