  1. Accurately collect blood specimens from patients using proper phlebotomy techniques.
  2. Process collected specimens for laboratory testing in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Ensure all specimens are properly labeled and recorded.
  4. Maintain and update patient records and results in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  5. Communicate with patients in a compassionate and professional manner, providing clear instructions and answering any questions or concerns.
  6. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely patient care.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
  8. Keep up-to-date with phlebotomy procedures, techniques, and equipment to ensure the highest quality of care.
  9. Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and maintaining inventory of supplies.
  10. Handle any issues or concerns related to specimen collection or processing in a prompt and professional manner.
  11. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.
  12. Continuously strive for excellence in patient care and customer service.
  13. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients at all times.
  14. Attend required trainings and continuing education to stay current in the field.
  15. Collaborate with the laboratory team to troubleshoot and resolve any issues with specimens or results.
  16. Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both patients and staff.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent

  • Completion Of An Accredited Phlebotomy Program

  • Certification As A Phlebotomy Technician (Cpt) Through Ascp Or Similar Organization

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience As A Phlebotomist Or In A Related Healthcare Role

  • Knowledge Of Hipaa Regulations And Medical Terminology
