- Oversee and manage a team of pharmacy technicians, providing guidance, support, and coaching as needed.
- Ensure that all pharmacy technicians are trained and competent in their roles, and that they adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
- Monitor and assess team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with other pharmacy staff to ensure seamless and timely delivery of pharmaceutical services to patients.
- Maintain a safe and orderly work environment, promoting adherence to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels, ordering and restocking medications and supplies as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between the pharmacy and other departments, communicating effectively to ensure smooth operations and patient satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry developments and regulations, implementing necessary changes to maintain compliance.
- Handle and resolve any patient or staff concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Act as a role model for the team, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional patient care and fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
Extensive Experience In Pharmacy Operations: A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As A Pharmacy Technician, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Role, Demonstrating A Strong Understanding Of Pharmacy Operations, Including Medication Dispensing, Inventory Management, And Compliance With State And Federal Regulations.
Leadership And Team Management Skills: Proven Ability To Effectively Manage A Team Of Pharmacy Technicians, Ensuring High Levels Of Productivity And Accuracy, While Maintaining A Positive And Supportive Work Environment. Experience In Training And Developing Staff To Enhance Their Skills And Knowledge.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Patients, Healthcare Providers, And Other Staff Members. Demonstrated Ability To Handle Difficult Situations With Tact And Diplomacy.
Knowledge Of Pharmacy Software And Technology: Proficiency In Using Pharmacy Software And Technology, Including Electronic Health Records (Ehrs), Automated Dispensing Systems, And Medication Inventory Management Systems. Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Technical Issues As They Arise.
Commitment To Compliance And Quality Assurance: In-Depth Knowledge Of State And Federal Pharmacy Laws And Regulations, With A Strong Commitment To Ensuring Compliance In All Areas Of Pharmacy Operations. Experience In Implementing And Maintaining Quality Assurance Programs To Ensure Safe And Effective Medication Delivery To Patients.
