Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician at Baptist Health (Kentucky), you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for accurately preparing and dispensing medications, as well as providing knowledgeable and helpful support to our pharmacists and patients. To be successful in this role, you must be well organized, detail-oriented, and customer service-minded.We are looking for an individual who is reliable, dependable, and has a thorough understanding of pharmacy operations and techniques. The ideal candidate will possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate must also have a high school diploma or equivalent, and must be registered or eligible for registration with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy. Experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately prepare and dispense medications in accordance with legal, professional, and ethical standards.
  2. Provide knowledgeable and helpful customer service to pharmacists and patients.
  3. Maintain accurate records and documents for medication dispensing.
  4. Assist pharmacists in managing inventory levels and ordering supplies.
  5. Follow established procedures for compounding and labeling medications.
  6. Monitor expiration dates and storage condition of medications.
  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations.
  8. Address customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  9. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  10. Participate in continuing education programs and professional development activities.
