- Dispensing Medications: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for accurately and safely dispensing medications to patients based on prescriptions provided by healthcare professionals.
- Maintaining Inventory: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained at all times.
- Assisting Pharmacists: The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with Pharmacists to support their daily tasks, including compounding medications, conducting medication reviews, and providing medication information to patients.
- Patient Care: The Pharmacy Technician will interact with patients and assist them with any questions or concerns they may have about their medications. They will also be responsible for handling prescription refill requests and managing patient records.
- Accuracy and Safety: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for following all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the accurate and safe dispensing of medications to patients.
- Labeling and Packaging: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for properly labeling and packaging medications, including following all necessary regulations and guidelines.
- Administrative Tasks: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for completing various administrative tasks, such as maintaining patient records, processing insurance claims, and managing billing information.
- Quality Control: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for conducting quality control checks to ensure that all medications are dispensed accurately and in compliance with regulations.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: Candidates Should Have At Least A High School Diploma Or Equivalent To Be Considered For The Position Of A Pharmacy Technician At Baptist Health.
Pharmacy Technician Certification: Candidates Should Possess A Valid Pharmacy Technician Certification (Cpht) From An Accredited Organization, Such As The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb).
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Pharmacy, Is Highly Preferred.
Knowledge Of Pharmaceutical Terminology And Medications: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Pharmaceutical Terminology And Medications, Including Generic And Brand Names, Dosage Forms, And Drug Interactions.
Attention To Detail And Accuracy: Pharmacy Technicians Are Responsible For Accurately Filling Prescriptions And Maintaining Medication Inventory. Therefore, Candidates Should Possess Strong Attention To Detail And A High Level Of Accuracy In Their Work.
