Job Description

Baptist Health (Kentucky) is looking for an experienced and passionate Pharmacy Tech Retail Pharmacy to join our team. As a Pharmacy Tech Retail Pharmacy, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, providing excellent customer service and ensuring accurate medication dispensing. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong understanding of medications and pharmacy operations, as well as excellent customer service and communication skills. If you are looking for an opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of a leading healthcare organization, this position is for you.Required qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or equivalent, a Pharmacy Technician certification, and at least one year of experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of current state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines related to pharmacy operations is preferred. Additionally, excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

  1. Dispense medications accurately and efficiently according to legal and professional standards.
  2. Assist in the daily operations of the pharmacy, including stocking shelves, receiving and verifying orders, and maintaining patient records.
  3. Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines related to pharmacy operations.
  4. Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  5. Maintain accurate records, such as patient profiles, medication histories, and prescription labels.
  6. Perform basic administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls and emails, and processing payments.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  8. Assist in the training of new pharmacy technicians.
  9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and nurses, to ensure medications are prescribed and dispensed correctly.
  10. Utilize pharmacy software systems to accurately enter and track patient information.
