2. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure availability and proper utilization of resources.
3. Understand and follow scheduling policies and procedures to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
4. Communicate with patients to gather necessary information and verify insurance coverage.
5. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
6. Work closely with other departments to resolve any scheduling conflicts or issues.
7. Monitor and manage patient wait times to ensure timely access to healthcare services.
8. Update and maintain patient records in the scheduling system.
9. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
10. Collaborate with billing and coding staff to ensure accurate and timely billing.
11. Participate in training and education to stay updated on scheduling and healthcare industry changes.
12. Assist in the development and implementation of new scheduling processes or systems.
13. Handle inquiries and resolve complaints or concerns from patients or their families.
14. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
