- Schedule appointments for patients using our electronic scheduling system.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure availability and proper utilization of resources.
- Understand and follow scheduling policies and procedures to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Communicate with patients to gather necessary information and verify insurance coverage.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Work closely with other departments to resolve any scheduling conflicts or issues.
- Monitor and manage patient wait times to ensure timely access to healthcare services.
- Update and maintain patient records in the scheduling system.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with billing and coding staff to ensure accurate and timely billing.
- Participate in training and education to stay updated on scheduling and healthcare industry changes.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new scheduling processes or systems.
- Handle inquiries and resolve complaints or concerns from patients or their families.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
