Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate OR Registered Nurse PRN to join our team at Baptist Health (Kentucky). Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate and competent care to all OR patients in accordance with current hospital policies and procedures.
  2. Monitor patient status and coordinate with anesthesiologists and other members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  4. Assist in the preparation of patients for surgery and in the recovery room.
  5. Keep accurate records of all patient care activities and document in the patient’s electronic medical record.
  6. Maintain a safe and clean environment in the OR.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  8. Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  9. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain and expand clinical knowledge and competency.
