  1. Provide high-quality and compassionate patient care throughout the surgical process.
  2. Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring it is clean, sterile, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  3. Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare team members to ensure a safe and efficient surgical experience for patients.
  4. Monitor and assess patients' conditions before, during, and after surgery, and communicate any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
  5. Administer medications and assist with anesthesia as needed.
  6. Educate patients and their families about the surgical process and post-operative care.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to prevent the spread of infection in the operating room.
  8. Document all patient care and maintain accurate records.
  9. Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in operating room equipment and procedures.
  10. Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on best practices and advancements in the field of operating room nursing.
  11. Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  13. Advocate for patients' needs and ensure their rights are respected.
  14. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
  15. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  16. Serve as a role model and mentor for other nurses and healthcare team members.
  17. Maintain confidentiality and respect for patients' privacy.
  18. Display a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  19. Continuously assess and improve upon personal nursing skills and knowledge.
  20. Act as an ambassador for the hospital and uphold its mission and values.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Kentucky

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field From An Accredited University

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Nurse In An Operating Room Setting

  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures, Equipment, And Sterile Techniques
