- Oversee the daily operations of the oncology department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to the oncology team in order to meet departmental goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high-quality patient care.
- Manage and allocate departmental resources, including budget, staff, and equipment, to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for the oncology team.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and empathy in all interactions with patients, staff, and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, such as physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and analyze departmental performance data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Stay informed about advancements and trends in oncology care, and make recommendations for new equipment, technology, and processes to improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making for the overall healthcare organization.
- Provide support and guidance to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions related to their oncology care.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control measures within the department.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for staff.
- Collaborate with other department managers and healthcare professionals to ensure coordination of care for patients.
- Uphold the mission and values of Baptist Health in all aspects of the role.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Oncology Care, With At Least 2 Years In A Managerial Or Supervisory Role.
Knowledge Of Current Oncology Treatment Protocols, Including Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy, And Immunotherapy.
Strong Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals.
Experience With Budgeting, Financial Management, And Quality Improvement Initiatives In A Healthcare Setting.
