1. Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to patients in the acute care setting.
2. Assess patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional capabilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
3. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
4. Utilize evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning to deliver effective treatment interventions.
5. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and adaptive equipment to promote independence and safety.
6. Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
7. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards.
8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe treatment environment.
9. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay updated on current trends and advancements in the field of occupational therapy.
10. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
11. Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and other interdisciplinary activities to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and patient-centered care.
