Job Description

At Baptist Health in Kentucky, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated MRI Technologist PRN to join our team of dedicated medical professionals. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about providing quality patient care and who is eager to contribute to the success of our imaging department. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications: strong knowledge of MRI equipment and image acquisition principles, the ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making skills, excellent communication skills, and a valid Kentucky state license as a Radiologic Technologist. We are looking for a team player who is reliable, diligent, and organized and who has a caring and compassionate attitude towards our patients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate MRI equipment to acquire images and perform scans according to established protocols.
  2. Set up and calibrate MRI equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Monitor patient safety and comfort during scans.
  4. Position and instruct patients on proper use of scanner and related equipment.
  5. Monitor patient’s vital signs and alert medical staff of any irregularities.
  6. Maintain accurate records of patient images and results.
  7. Ensure maintenance and service of MRI equipment.
  8. Provide patient education on imaging procedures and safety measures.
  9. Adhere to safety protocols and standards.
  10. Maintain professional standards of conduct and ethics to ensure quality patient care.
