1. Perform a variety of laboratory tests on patient samples, including blood, urine, and tissue samples, in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
2. Ensure accuracy and precision in test results by following proper laboratory techniques and protocols.
3. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, troubleshoot issues as needed, and perform quality control checks.
4. Maintain accurate and thorough records of test results and patient information, and enter data into laboratory information systems.
5. Communicate test results and findings to medical staff and other healthcare professionals, and assist with interpretation and analysis of results as needed.
6. Collaborate with other laboratory team members to ensure timely and efficient processing of samples and delivery of test results.
7. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
8. Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in laboratory science, and participate in continuing education and training programs as required.
9. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff by addressing any questions or concerns regarding laboratory tests and procedures.
10. Comply with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, and participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
11. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by actively contributing to team meetings and initiatives, and supporting colleagues as needed.
