
Lab Technician
We’re excited to be looking for an experienced Lab Technician to join our team at Baptist Health (Kentucky). Here, you’ll have the opportunity to provide support to the laboratory team by performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures in order to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have an Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field, as well as a valid license in Medical Laboratory Technology from the Kentucky State Board of Medical Lab Examiners. You’ll also need to have a minimum of one year of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a hospital or medical laboratory.You should have excellent organizational skills, be a critical thinker, and be able to work well independently as well as part of a team. You’ll also need to be detail-oriented and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about providing quality care to our patients and is willing to go above and beyond to make sure that all lab tests are conducted accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
- Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all laboratory tests conducted.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Provide technical support to other laboratory team members.
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and standards.
- Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Document and record laboratory results accurately.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to identify and solve problems.
- Maintain effective communication with laboratory staff.
- Remain up-to-date on current laboratory trends and best practices.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills
Bachelor's Degree In Chemistry
Biology
