Previous experience in environmental services or janitorial work is preferred, but not required.   1. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the healthcare facility, including patient rooms, common areas, and restrooms.
  2. Follow established cleaning and disinfection protocols to prevent the spread of infections and maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  3. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and emptying trash bins.
  4. Clean and stock supplies in designated areas, including restrooms, supply rooms, and patient rooms.
  5. Regularly inspect and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
  6. Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing duties.
  7. Collaborate with other members of the environmental services team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
  8. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and report any shortages to the supervisor.
  9. Attend training sessions to stay up-to-date on cleaning techniques, products, and safety procedures.
  10. Adhere to Baptist Health's mission, vision, and values and uphold the organization's code of conduct.
  11. Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor while interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
  12. Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  13. Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  14. Follow proper waste disposal procedures and comply with all environmental regulations.
  15. Continuously seek ways to improve and streamline cleaning processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Experience In Environmental Services Or Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of Cleaning And Sanitation Procedures In A Healthcare Setting.

  • Ability To Operate And Maintain Cleaning Equipment, Such As Floor Buffers And Carpet Cleaners.

  • Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills To Interact With Patients, Staff, And Visitors In A Professional Manner.
