  1. Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency calls, providing immediate medical care to patients in need.
  2. Assess patient's condition and administer appropriate emergency treatment, including CPR, oxygen, and medication as needed.
  3. Safely transport patients to medical facilities and provide ongoing care during transport.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment provided.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper care and treatment.
  6. Continuously monitor and respond to changes in patient's condition, taking necessary actions to stabilize and improve their condition.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for patients and healthcare team members.
  8. Regularly maintain and restock medical supplies and equipment to ensure availability during emergencies.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date with the latest emergency medical techniques and procedures.
  10. Uphold and promote the values and mission of Baptist Health, providing compassionate and exceptional care to our community.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Emt Certification: Applicants Must Possess A Current And Valid Emt Certification From The State Of Kentucky.

  • Minimum Education Requirements: A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Required For The Emt Position At Baptist Health. Some College Coursework In A Related Field May Also Be Preferred.

  • Clinical Experience: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience As An Emt, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential In An Emergency Medical Service Role. Candidates Must Have Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals.

  • Physical Fitness: The Emt Position At Baptist Health Requires Individuals To Be Physically Fit And Able To Perform The Essential Job Functions, Which May Include Lifting And Carrying Patients, Bending, And Kneeling. Applicants Must Be Able To Pass A Physical Exam And Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job.
