
Emergency Department Technician

- Provide compassionate care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, maintaining a welcoming and professional demeanor.
- Assist medical staff in responding to emergency situations and providing necessary support.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, and temperature.
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies for use in emergency situations.
- Assist with patient triage, prioritizing care based on the severity of their condition.
- Handle administrative tasks, such as updating patient records and completing documentation.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
- Demonstrate strong empathy and sensitivity towards patients and their families.
- Remain calm and composed in high-stress situations and be able to think quickly and make sound decisions.
- Continuously stay updated on emergency medical procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for patients.
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: To Be Considered For An Emergency Department Technician Position At Baptist Health, Candidates Must Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Cpr And Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: As An Emergency Department Technician, Candidates Must Be Certified In Cpr And Bls.
Previous Healthcare Experience: Candidates With Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Particularly In An Emergency Department, Will Be Highly Considered For This Position.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Essential For An Emergency Department Technician.
Willingness To Work Flexible Hours: The Emergency Department At Baptist Health Operates 24/7, And Candidates Must Be Willing To Work A Variety Of Shifts, Including Nights, Weekends, And Holidays.
