Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate leader to join our team as the Director of Nursing for 6B at Baptist Health. As a critical member of a collaborative and innovative group, the Director of Nursing will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality patient care and operational excellence within the unit.The ideal candidate will be a strategic and analytical leader with at least 5 years of experience working in a nursing leadership role. They should have a proven track record of developing nursing teams, driving process improvement initiatives, and managing budgets. They should have a deep understanding of the current healthcare landscape, a commitment to the quality of care, and a passion for creating positive patient outcomes. Additionally, they should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a Master’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration.We are looking for someone with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who is able to effectively lead and motivate staff and build relationships with other healthcare professionals. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for setting and maintaining high standards of care, providing guidance, and ensuring that the unit functions effectively. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and operational excellence within the unit.
  2. Manage the budget and resources of the unit, driving process improvement initiatives and ensuring that cost-effective methods are used.
  3. Lead and motivate nursing staff to ensure that they are delivering the highest standards of patient care.
  4. Foster strong relationships with other healthcare professionals and collaborate to ensure the delivery of positive patient outcomes.
  5. Monitor the quality of patient care and ensure that the unit is functioning effectively.
  6. Provide guidance and mentorship to the nursing staff and ensure that they are following all relevant policies and procedures.
  7. Identify areas of opportunity and develop strategies to improve the performance of the unit.
  8. Remain up to date on advances in healthcare and ensure that the unit is compliant with all relevant regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or A Related Field

  • Current Kentucky Registered Nurse Licensure

  • Five Years Of Progressively Responsible Experience In Nursing

  • Three Years Of Nursing Leadership Experience

  • Evidence Of Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills

  • Demonstrated Ability To Effectively Manage And Lead A Team

  • Knowledge Of Joint Commission Standards And Regulations

  • Working Knowledge Of Microsoft Office Suite.
