Job Description

The Director of Clinical Informatics at Baptist Health (Kentucky) will be an integral part of our healthcare team, responsible for leading our efforts to integrate technology into clinical operations to improve patient care and outcomes. This is a critical role in our organization and requires an individual with the technical and leadership skills to ensure optimal development and utilization of our informatics systems. The successful candidate will possess a relevant degree in healthcare informatics or another advanced degree in healthcare related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare informatics. They will also demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization, as well as have the necessary technical acumen to understand and implement complex IT solutions. Responsibilities:

  1. Lead initiatives to integrate technology into clinical operations to improve patient care and outcomes.
  2. Effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  3. Demonstrate technical acumen to understand and implement complex IT solutions.
  4. Create and implement plans for system development, testing, and implementation.
  5. Monitor and evaluate system performance, and provide troubleshooting and system modification as needed.
  6. Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure data security and integrity.
  7. Develop and maintain a team of qualified informatics professionals.
  8. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  9. Develop and manage operational and capital budgets.
  10. Monitor and review departmental performance metrics.
